Professional Housekeeping
First Aid and Fire Safety
The aim of First Aid course is to help housekeepers and parents to be the difference between life & death at home or outdoors. In addition to fire safety skills needed to know how to minimize the risks of fire and handle a situation should it arise.
Baby Care
This course provides housekeepers, parents and families with skills like Th1f diapering, comforting a crying baby and recognizing signs of illness, as well as parenthood taking care of babies and children.
Cookery and Basic Baking
This course provides housekeepers, parents and families with skills in preparing African meals such as chapatti, pilaus and other quick meals for a healthy family diet. The course also teaches skills in basic baking of common home pastries and savories.
Housekeeping
This course teaches house keepers, parents and families skills to enable them to perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain private households in a clean and orderly manner. Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms, vacuuming e.t.c. The course also offers practical lessons on how to use modern cleaning equipment.
Laundry and Ironing
This course teaches how to do laundry, ironing, mending and other basic clothing care. Including the use of modern washing equipment such as washing machines, dryers, steam boards, ironing boards among others.
Etiquette and Time Management
This course teaches skills on how to greet, meet and introduce people, cultural etiquette such as seating, serving, personal space, eye contact and, conversation techniques. In addition the house keepers get to learn how to manage time in relation to the tasks and schedules allocated to them
Personal and General Hygiene & Health Care
This course gives housekeepers some ideas on looking their best and keeping their body clean which is an important part of keeping healthy and helping other family members to feel good about themselves.
The Housekeeping and Nanny Academy & Agency is located in Nigeria, Lagos in a purpose-built facility that is designed to be setup in differing configurations to meet the requirements of the various classes. The lecture and practical approach offers trainees the opportunity of practicing all of the required skills with world class equipment both in laundry, cleaning and cutlery.
By the end of this year, The Housekeeping and Nanny Academy & Agency projects to have five additional full time employees to add to the current staff complement of 7 staff.
