Lesson Two : 1-4 Years Milestones and Activities

 

Stimulation and Play:

 

In this module we cover:

 

• The importance of play for Children

• Developmental milestones 0-4 years

• Fun games and ideas inside and outside that will help the children learn

• The importance of music and reading

• How children learn through play by using their senses and muscles

 

In this module we discuss the importance of play and why young children need to be stimulated and not just put in front of the television. We explain different play station ideas that we recommend in all homes. This will include both indoor and outdoor play covering music, reading, art, play dough, ball play etc.

 

During these sessions we will encourage the nannies to get involved in each activity and have a hands on experience of what we are teaching them to do with your children. Each Nanny will receive a manual explaining each activity as well as a time table to work around. We encourage the parents to read these manuals for fun family activities to do with the kids on weekends as well.

 

 

Time Management:

In this module we cover:

 

• The importance of their role as a nanny/housekeeper

• How to communicate effectively with the parents

• How to manage childcare and the housework

• Understanding and following a routine in the workplace

• Safety awareness – identifying the hazards around the house and creating a childproof home

We teach the nannies how to effectively manage their time between childcare and domestic work. They learn how to manage and prioritize their responsibilities as well understand how important it is to communicate to the parent. We teach the nannies about the potential hazards in and outside the home, when they are watching and when they are not. We encourage the nannies to fully understand how important it is to childproof the home and be hands on with your children.

 

 

If you want to register your Nanny to do The Nanny Course or you wish to do the course yourself please fill out the appropriate form. Once you have completed the form you will be invoiced and only once your payment has been received will You or your Nanny be registered. We will then confirm dates that are available.
